Why doesn’t he just check with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement?
The full story in context is bizarre.
Birtherism didn’t just happen. The GOP spent 25 years sowing dragon’s teeth on Fox news and talk radio. And now you have a big orange Dragon.
And why Birtherism? Why didn’t they take a stand at Jade Helm. Or Vince Foster.
The talk about pardons is obstruction of justice with plausible deniability. It’s a signal to those who are tempted to talk to stay quiet. Hold the line and the president will pardon you.
Mr. Nugent doesn’t realize that video recordings exist?
The GOP doesn’t admit that W mislead the American people about Iraq or that Reagan traded arms for hostages. They will not admit that Trump was guilty.
It is not normal for the POTUS to engage in witness tampering. It is not normal for this type of egregious action to happen via official communication channels.
What about the millions of Swamp Creatures, CHUDs and pod people who voted illegally for Trump?
I keep hearing how liberals are smug and dismissive unlike real Americans from the heartland.
There is a lot of pride in programming. You get to solve interesting problems. You spend more time interacting with your customers than most manufactures would. Systems I worked on have been mentioned in the press.
There were 33 Benghazi hearings.
How about 1 on Russian hacking.
Does this count as treason?
George replied, “There is no evidence that there were millions of illegal votes, zero.”
Conway continued to whine about the media and legal recounts that are being conducted and cried, “Why can’t you allow this President-elect to form his government the way that President Obama and Secretary Clinton had suggested they would like him to do?”
in this case it comes with one minor caveat: evidence is not needed if you’re a Trump voter. Period. Alysin Camerota of CNN’s New Day is a bit flummoxed over a group of these folks.
It’s no use asking for proof. They don’t have proof and their opinions on voter fraud as based on feelings, not facts.
Trump’s base thought you could repeal and replace Obamacare in 100 days. It’s a waste of breath to explain how complicated a transition is. They’ll just blame any Trump failures on Obama anyway. Use this time to document all the ways Trump is conning them.
The epidemic of white on white crime goes unreported.
This is what actual election fraud looks like.
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) warned on Sunday that militants in Iraq and Syria would attack the U.S. mainland if President Barack Obama did not immediately take military action to stop them.
I guess we can assume that all those Republicans that called on Obama to attack ISIS will now rally around the president? Probably not.
"We ought to say to these children, ‘Welcome to America, you’re going to go to school, and get a job, and become American,’" Will suggested. "We have 3,141 counties in this country. That would be 20 per county."
Will explained. “We’ve handled what [American poet] Emma Lazarus called the ‘wretched refuse of your teeming shore’ a long time ago, and a lot more people than this.”
I don’t alway agree with him, but he is right here. The idea that there exists some subset of people who can not become American is contrary to all the historical evidence. Those kids will make it.
Did it cost McCain even a single Sunday show booking?
By 2016, LA could have 25% renewable energy and 33% by 2020
Armed gunmen riding around on pick up trucks enforcing arbitrary rules on a population they are not accountable to. But don’t you dare compare this to Somalia. Its hurts their feelings.
"American political philosophy is based on the belief that the world was created by God in six days, and that this creation event occurred about 6,000 years ago," he explains, adding that news reports describing the Earth as millions of years old were either ignorant or "anti-American."
Where is genesis mentioned in the constitution?
Fox News host Chris Wallace on Sunday confronted Rep. Darrell Issa (R-CA) after he was rated as having the “highest level of falsehood” for his obsession with the terrorist attacks in Benghazi.
I am still waiting on those who bought the fanciful theories that the right was selling to admit they were wrong.
Turns out Dennis Rodman isn’t good at foreign policy. Who could have guessed?
Hey Ralph, remember that time you ran for president and told everyone that there would be no difference between Bush and Gore? How did that turn out?
I really don’t care, but this is kind of funny.
Newly hired Fox News contributor Dr. Ben Carson proposed on Friday to “re-educate the women” so that they would stop having abortions.
He added there was obviously not a “war on women” because men give up their seats to pregnant women.
Giving women a seat _voluntarily_ somehow trumps government actions that deny women autonomy over their bodies? This guy is nuts.
But it’s ok because he isn’t Muslim.
Scalia wasn’t just being hypocritical. He was, quite blatantly, lying. If he actually believed what he claimed to believe in Windsor, then he never would have joined the decision to strike down the Voting Rights Act in Holder. To the contrary, he would have denounced John Roberts’ opinion with venomous glee. To absolutely no one’s surprise, he did not. Because everybody knows he was lying in his Windsor dissent. Everybody knows he’s been lying for decades.
The whole five part series is worth a read. The conservative movement is basically founded on this kind of BS.
"How is that possible, that I didn't apply?" Colbert asked. "Am I breaking the law?" Potter took that opportunity to remind the Colbert Report host that he was not legally obligated to apply for tax-exempt status in the first place.
Amazing. The IRS blocked them from something that they were not obligated to do in the first place.
All that happened here is that groups applying to the IRS for special tax status were checked to see if they were engaged in political activity. They were checked, not targeted. Only one-third of the groups checked were conservative groups.
Organizations of all walks and all persuasions were pulled in. That's shown by the fact that only 70 of the 300 organizations were tea party organizations, of the ones that were looked at
Yet another trumped up nonsense scandal diverting from actual problems like the AP scandal and the Gitmo hunger strike.
Fired? Why not arrested?
Huckabee suggested that without Fox News acting as a counterweight to "mainstream media," most Americans "will assume that Obama really is just doing a great job and he just can't get those crazy Republicans to help him out.—
And we can’t let reality creep into the national debate.
House Budget Commitee chairman Paul Ryan (R-WI) says that his plan to slash government spending on programs for the poor while increasing defense spending and giving tax cuts to the wealthy would actually “prevent austerity.”
We must pass austerity to prevent austerity? Not from the onion. Ryan is a smooth talking confidence man. Nothing more.
I’m waiting for someone to suggest that we legalize bribery under the guise that if bribery is illegal, only criminals will be out there willing and able to pay bribes.
I’m a little weary of Rick Santorum prancing around as the “Catholic candidate” when he stands in direct opposition to the Church on a whole host of issues, including torture, the death penalty, pre-emptive war, the welfare state and global warming — just to name a few.
In a nutshell, he only agrees with the church when it comes to gays being icky and women being unable to control their sexuality without the paternal influence of men.
In the last two years, according to the U.S. Justice Department, allegations of wrongdoing by police departments across the country have mushroomed to unprecedented levels. According to Thomas Perez, the assistant attorney general for the Civil Rights Division, at least 17 U.S. police departments are under investigation—DOJ Aggressively Investigating Police Brutality | Crooks and Liars
Nothing new here except a larger willingness to admit that Fox doesn’t actually report news. They push a party line and pretend it is news. They are Pravda for the GOP party faithful.
Dovetails perfectly with his assertion that 9/11 was Clinton’s fault.
I’ve noticed that the same people who cheered water boarding are cheering on the use of pepper spray on the dirty hippies at OWS.
You have a Republican ideology, which Mitt Romney obviously doesn’t believe in. He just oozes insincerity, that’s just so obvious. But all of the others are fools and clowns. And there is a question here, my hypothesis is that maybe this is an ideology that only fools and clowns can believe in. And that’s the Republican problem.—Krugman: ‘Only Fools and Clowns’ Believe Republican Ideology | Video Cafe
"It’s ironic to me to watch someone claim to be standing for constitutional rights and liberty, a la Cato/Koch and yet sneer at the people out protesting, exercising their right of assembly and speech. Maloney is predictably conservative: ready to defend the rights of conservatives, and everyone else be damned. Oh, and if he can set them up to look like perennially-high, dope-smoking hippies? Even better"
Not surprised about this. This is classic hippie-punching.
I guess Jihadist is the new Socialist. As long as it sounds scary, who cares if it’s accurate.
OWS manages to shift the national conversation from “How much Austerity?” to “What are we doing about jobs and debt?” Mission accomplished.
A recent report in Bloomberg Markets magazine revealed that Koch Industries had been caught paying bribes to win contracts, engaging in possibly-illegal trade with Iran, price fixing, and ignoring environmental regulations.
According to a study done by the Brennan Center For Justice, as many as 5 million voters will be disenfranchised by Voter ID laws passed in Republican states.
Not from the Onion.
